About the owner – Ermite Charles

Helping others build themselves up is Ermite’s passion. She loves everything about the beauty industry and has way too much fun at work for it to be considered work. She gets excited about seeing her clients every day and the new hair adventures she gets to share with each of them. While she enjoys them all, shorter cuts and eye catching colors are probably her favorite.

At the end of her day, no matter how much she’s hurting from being on her feet all day or running around, she feels wonderful that she was able to make someone else’s day better by doing their hair or just listening to them – and she can do all of that through her salon! The added bonus of getting to make new friends and acquaintances every day makes her job even better!

She was born in 1980 and raised in Petion-Ville, Haiti where she owned a dance studio prior to moving to the U.S. She began taking classes in the engineering field and decided her calling involved more than sitting behind a desk. She had always enjoyed making people feel beautiful and had already dabbled in cosmetology as a hobby. Thankfully, she finally decided to follow advice from a friend and enrolled in Gwinnett Technical College’s cosmetology program. Why not turn her passion into a career!?! She graduated in 2006 as a master cosmetologist and master colorist while specializing in feather razor cutting, up-styling, and hair extensions.

Ermite is married to her wonderful husband, Max (who is her biggest cheerleader!), and they have two rambunctious little boys that keep them on their toes! She is one of eight children, being six in line with a twin brother. She is fluent in Haitian-Creole, French, English, and some Spanish. She considers herself to be very artistic. Her hobbies are music and dance.

Why should she be your stylist?

“I am a perfectionist, very detailed oriented, a great listener, and a great leader. I don’t quit. I stop when everything is to my client’s satisfaction. If you can’t go ‘wow’ when you see my work, then I feel it’s not good enough. When people remember even the simplest color or cut just by how amazing and precise it looks, your job is well done. That’s what separates me from the next stylist.”
